18-Year-Old Woman Nabbed For Stealing Wallet At Area Bookstore, Police Say

An Ulster County woman was arrested for allegedly stealing a wallet out of a woman's purse at an area bookstore.

Lisa D.Vandersanden, 18, of Kingston, was arrested around 10 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 30, and charged with grand larceny, said Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra.

Vandersanden was arrested following a police investigation into the alleged theft of the wallet at the Inquiring Minds Book Store in the Village of Saugerties.

She was processed at Saugerties Police Headquarters and released on an appearance ticket. 

Vandersanden is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, Dec. 9.
